Meet Our Danville & Chatham Dentists
Donald G. Cairns, DDS, MS, FAGD
Dr. Don Cairns has been practicing dentistry in Danville, Virginia, for 21 years after serving in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree before joining the Navy. He earned a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology from George Washington University in Washington, DC, while attending graduate dental training at the Naval Graduate Dental School at Bethesda Naval Hospital. He later went on to complete a one year fellowship training program in periodontics while stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. Dr. Cairns has attained the status of Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry representing hundreds of hours of continuing dental education.
Upon retiring from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service, Dr. Cairns and his wife, Pattie, returned to Danville, her hometown, in 1992. In October of 2013, Dr. Cairns merged his practice with Danville Dental Associates.
